awesome, run true to size hand size 7 1/4” long x 9 “ around palm got the large fits perfect just a little extra room, feels great on nice movement and easy to put on like the wool lining and all leather outer , definitely recommend !
The quality is obvious and the look is fantastic. I really like how the draw cords work. The sizing was spot on. In response to a prior review, these are great mittens for moderate cold in, dare I say, slightly more formal settings (i.e., you don't want to be geared to the hilt like you're running the Iditarod). The real test will be how they age. My expectation is they will get better with time.
Per the sizing a Large would fit my hand width but the Extra Large would be needed for my hand length. I chose XL. Lots of room but the XL allowes air drafts, even with the cuff cinch cord pulled tight.
I bough these late in the season but did get a chance to test them. Five mile walk, 7 degrees F, windy. My hands never felt warm but they were not freezing cold either. I was expecting warm toasty hands.
Both the right and left mitts do have a minor pucker on the thumb side seam.
Awesome, beautifully executed, top quality and WARM!
I have two pairs of Mainers. The latest is the leather and fleece lined gloves. These are very warm and comfortable. I fully expect the gloves to get softer as the leather gets broken in. Very well made
