Cryo-protection glove manufacturer Tempshield expands to retail: 'Maine work ethic is second to none'

TRENTON -- In 1980, Ted and Laura Sweeney began the endeavor of creating gloves strong enough to withstand the frigid temperatures required when handling pharmaceutical compounds.

40 years have come and gone but Tempshield Inc. is still here in Trenton, and all over the globe too. According to Tempshield and Mainers Chief Operating Officer Paul LaRochelle, it has become one of the standards of what those types of gloves should be. Now, they've broken into the consumer market too.
